Bienvenue à La Charité!

in a garden in France It seems such a long time since I have visited France. Although it's only 4 years, so many things have changed. Two of my previous blogs seemed to disappear into the universe, covid has lingered and I have turned seventy. It doesn't seem possible! La Charité-sur-Loire A year ago, I decided that the world would be a healthier place in 2022. During the pandemic, I have become a fan of Instagram. I love to look at playful puppies, French brocant, delicious meals...Through one of my friends, I learned about  La Maison des Mots , a charming boarding house, owned by a former Vancouver bookseller. Even more to my liking, the house is located in a cité des mots. Throughout the town, on the sides of buildings, under windows, over doors, are proverbs and quotations, each including the word  "mot". Mot=word. The quotations are everywhere. La Charité is a medieval town complete with ramparts, a famous Church and priory and only 5,000 inhabitants. For hundred
